South Korean Director Kim Ki-duk's 'Pieta' wins Venice Critics Award 2012

At the 69th Venice Film Festival in Italy, the Korean film Pieta by director Kim Ki-duk has won the Golden Lion for best film.

'Pieta', Kim’s 18th feature film, is the brutal story of a debt collector who cripples those who can't pay until he meets a woman who claims to be his mother.

This award is significant since it would serve to promote the movie's popular success.

Reflecting this, this film hit the top in ticket booking rates for the third week in Sep.
